Peppermint: Peppermint beautifully aids digestion and assists in relieving tummy aches and cramps. It can also relieve tension headaches and improve your energy levels.
Calendula: Calendula is high in antioxidants and anti-fungal and anti-microbial properties. It is known to improve skin health and is also said to help in regulating menstruation and improving oral health.
Fennel seeds: Fennel seeds are high in antioxidants and are known to support digestion, relieve constipation, fight infections, help sleep and freshen breath.
Some women have also found fennel seeds to aid breast milk production.
Licorice root: Licorice root is another digestion supporter, it soothes the stomach but is also known to support the adrenal gland so is a great stress reliever.
Licorice root contains a natural sweetener called glycyrrhizin which creates a beautiful taste but you may want to check with your medical advisor about drinking this while pregnant as some women may want to avoid this.
